Black herbal drink "har gu tzo"???
I went to a bakery in Elmhurst today and on a whim decided to try and ask for a black herbal drink with grass jelly (xin tcho) (the like of which I've drunk in Malaysia and seen in cans in the grocery shops). I got a great tasting black herbal brew (mildly medicinal) and not actual grass jelly. When I asked about the drink, the folks said it was called "har gu tzo" in Cantonese -- I can't manage to transliterate the Mandarin version.
Can someone please tell me what "har gu tzo" is, and if i can buy it from a tea shop, grocery store or chinese medicine shop.
I have grass jelly at home, but would really like to find this particular accompanying herbal drink.

Har Gu tzo is actually hops. The stuff they use in beer. Chinese medicines sun dry the hops first before boiling it and add sugar to it. It is suppose to bring down the internal heat. Chineses in Hong Kong has a saying, "drink a beer do bring down the fire". They sell them at almost all Chinese Grocery stores defintely in Honk Kong supermarket in Flushing. You can also get them in Chinese medicine shop.
