I went last year with my gf and had a good time. Its nothing amazing, but if you buy your tickets ahead of time online, you get a nice discount. You should definately buy the tickets that include the crawfish feast. i dont remember exactly how much it was but i remember that it was a good deal because you get a giant pile of crawfish, potatoes and corn. Its a fun few hours out.

Thanks for the feedback, I think we will give it a try. What were some of the other food offerings?

there were funnel cake booths, a gumbo booth and all sorts of random offerings.

I agree that it is a fun few hours out but it is not even close to La. in LA. Lottsa lousy renditions of Cajun food with a fun, rowdy crowd and fourth (maybe fifth or sixth) tier La. entertainers.

Isn't August a little late for crawfish? I thought they were a Spring thing.

25 bucks a ticket is like 3 pounds of crawfish @boiling crab...

I dont see your point. Im also a fan of the boiling crab, but twenty five bucks at the festival also gets you:
"Feast includes 2½ - 3 lbs. fresh live steamed crawfish, red baby potatoes, corn on the cob, and dipping sauce"

Oh. Did not see that (even though I tried to find it)

its not all that clear but its mentioned on the ticket page right next to the prices.

PLUS the crawfish is LIVE instead of dead and frozen like the ones at Boiling Crab.

I gotta say that this year the crawfish festival was not very good. First of all the portion was half of what it was last year (although advertised as the same) and the spices were just not there. I was disappointed after having a really tasty experience last year.
