The pizzas look great. If authentic Italian pizza arrives in this area it would be wonderful. However, having recently returned from Italy, including Napoli, most pizzas were cooked in a wood-burning oven. They were amazing. Campiello, in Naples, has great pizza cooked in that style and is the closest representation I've had in SW Florida. Best of luck. I'm looking forward to giving it a test run. I'm from Chicago and we know a little bit about pizza also.

Sorry Al, Estero is the farthest north that I've sampled pizza, at Za Za Serious Pizza, which was ok. Let's hope that Tony Sacco's tastes as good as it looks. I've had coal fired pizza before and have never been impressed. They provide high heat but not the flavor that is imparted from wood. I personally prefer a thin crust, which is what I mostly found in Italy, other than Sicily. Campiello in Naples gets it right. The pictures from Tony Sacco's look authentic Italian. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
