How did they get away with saying that she's a finalist? Does that mean that she made the show or that she's one of the last two or three standing at the end?

I noticed on last week's show that they were calling all of the contestants "finalists." I think it just refers to all of them being the final ones chosen of all the applicants.

Since Gordo (his nickname in the DFW area) didn't get the title of the show right, I think it's fair to assume that he could have a technical term like "finalist" incorrect as well. "Finalist"..."contestant"...what's the diff?

They are all finalists. If you noticed they talked about how many episodes had aired. They filmed this back in January and February. All the cooks on the show are finalists - they are the ones who have made it to this point.

I agree. I really don't like that people are bashing superficial things about her. She seems like a nice person who actually knows what she is talking about. She also seems to be working hard on the show and really trying.

i'll confess i was one of the first to bash her...but i harped on her attitude & demeanor more than her looks...although i have issues with her wardrobe & war paint ;) but i've said over the past few weeks that she's really growing on me, and i've even found myself defending her a couple of times! she still irritates me on occasion, but i honestly think she's got the most potential of this group if they're really looking for someone who can become a "brand."

I too, found her pretentious and stuffy. She has grown on me as well. My problem lies with people who insult those parts of her that can't be changed. It seems mean and demeaning. When people talk about how she is doing on the show, that is fine, but to bash her for eyes and hairstyle and not commenting on her food knowledge really bugs me.

I am curios as to weather or not she makes it into the final if she is going to take her new-do with her. She was very quick to point out that that change of hair style had nothing to do with the whole Romulan thing. It was simply that she ran out of time that morning so she just did what ever for the sake of simplicity.

um, that show was painful. i feel bad for lisa - i wonder if her "i don't want to laugh so the bloggers don't make fun of my squinty eyes" was a cover for "this just isn't funny (and who signed me up for this crap?!)". she handled herself as well as she could during that train wreck of an interview.
i have to find something else to watch to erase that memory from my head.
