no res saturday night

Two moms and two teenage (foody) daughters will be at large in Manhattan Saturday night. Can you recommend good eats? We are totally flexible, but the priority is GOOD and probably not a huge wait. Walking and eating works, too..... manythanks

  1. What time on Sat night? Any good restaurant will either need reservation or some wait at prime time.

Also, can you provide more details - budget, preference of cuisines or location, etc.?

Not too expensive, wide open on cuisine, we're staying near Lincoln Center but don't mind transporting--I'm thinking our 1st night in NYC can be walking and looking and eating.... thx

        Hi honestwine,

        > Not too expensive.

What will be the price range per person, including drinks, tax, and tips?

          maybe $50-$80ish?

        2. re: honestwine

Does $50pp sound good to you? Is that too high? Will you want to drink? Beer/cocktail/wine?

What is your favorite cuisine? Do you mind a place that's crowded and boisterous?

          1. re: kathryn

$50 sounds fine, we like good wine, we are super flexible with cuisine and I suppose I should expect crowded on a Saturday night (boisterous sounds fun!)

      2. Toloache for great Mexican...just went the other night and fell in love
