Anyone know a good indian grocery store in Montreal?

I am trying to learn how to cook indian and I can't find all the ingredients...do any of you know some good stores i can try? I know that there are so many different cuisines within india so whatever u got is fine! thanks!!

  1. I quite like the one on Ontario just east of St.Laurent...the name escapes me....the owner is super nice and helpful
    it's driving me crazy that I cant remember the name.......anyone????

      1. Epicerie Shavit at 6334 Victoria (north of Van Horne) offers a wide selection and a friendly and competent owner, whom I know only as 'madam'. Tel. 514-739-4403

        1. For Indian grocery products, I buy at Marche Victoria 6324 Victoria, right behind the Van Horne shopping Centre a short walk up from southern end of Plamandon Metro. They have Indian veggies. For local non-veggie supplies when I don't want to go quite as far I can get some Indian dry goods from Rocky Montana Fruiterie which expanded into the space that used to be a bar; it's at Sherbrooke St. corner of Harvard in NDG near the dad's Bagel Shop.
