Shogun Revolver - Best Restaurant in Nassau
I had the recent pleasure of dining at the brand new restaurant - Shogun Revolver in Nassau. Fantastic food, unparalleled service in a country where service doesn't exist.
If you're a fan of fresh seafood, with an asian twist, Shogun is the place for you. My meal started with an interesting Scallop appetizer that was creative but absolutely delicious. I think that many restaurants in my hometown of Toronto spend so much time on presentation - but little on the actual quality of the food that they sorely miss the point. I had the scallops two ways - one warm, one cold. Both equally delicious. My dinner mate had the crab cakes - and she raved that they were by far the best crab cakes she had ever eaten - not full of fillers like most - but hearty and accompanied by a fabulous citrousy sauce. For our mains she had the Pad Thai which was the best Pad Thai I had ever tasted. It wasn't your typical dry, scantly involved Chicken and Shrimp dish that you normally get - it was filled with fresh chicken, shrimp and wonderful selection of vegetables and moist with a nice spicy sauce.
I had the Black Cod - served in a really interesting way - over top a hot rock that cooked the fish to perfection - and nicely blackened the noodles that were set underneath. The overall effect was soft but crunchy, sweet but salty, just an amazing treat to the tastebuds.
It didn't stop there - the desserts were incredible. A taste of four different homemade ice creams included favorites such as green tea, lemon/pepper, and so much more that I can't share - you need to experience this for yourself.
Wines and Sakes are in abundance - and the menu suggests various tries to match your meal.
Just a fantastic experience overall. If you get the chance - make it a MUST on your next Nassau itinerary.

Hi - It's located right beside the Green Parrot - just before the bridge to Paradise Island (also next to Luciano's)

Wow! I just checked out the Shogun site and it looks wonderful. We have 2 birthdays in our group next week - think I'll suggest we go there. Having driven by and seen the sign many times, we thought Shogun was a nightclub!!! Thanks Bahamaslover! We will likely check this out next weekend. (Can't believe no one here has mentioned it!)
