New Middle Eastern in Carroll Gardens
In the space that used to be a dry cleaners on Court btw Degraw and Sackett comes " New Middle Eastern Restaurant, established 1995". Still in construction. Anyone know details? I've been faithful to Zaytoons forever but they have fallen off a bit since they expanded to their new location.
I'm praying its a Fatoosh.
Anybody know?

A neighborhood friend just told me that Doughnut House (on that same block) is closing and will be replaced by a Middle Eastern restaurant. Could these two be one and the same?

Dunno. The Donut House is directly next door. So either they will operate side by side or they will open the new place and then take over the Donut House, doubling their space.

Perhaps donuts brought in from someone else. Donut House is a greasy spoon thats been here for decades. The decor is like stepping into 1965, non ironically. Food is decent greasy spoon diner stuff. Some of the Greek platters is pretty good.

Thursday update.
I went in to Donut House this morning and asked if they were closing. They said no. I believed them. Case closed.

It's going to be an Olive Vine, companion to the Park Slope outpost opening next door to Donut House. I think I've read pretty mixed things on here about the PS location. Anyone have any updates?
