Scott Howard back in Marin - Yeah!

From today's IJ:

"Scott Howard took over last week as the executive chef at the Left Bank Brasserie at 507 Magnolia Ave. in Larkspur. Howard, 41 and a Novato resident, will also oversee the culinary operations of all five Bay Area Left Bank Brasseries (as well as the one opening in the Presidio in 2009), working closely with chef/owner Roland Passot of Mill Valley and director of cuisine chef Joel Guillon.

"I'm going to help the company evolve the menu," he says. "We're taking it lighter, more toward Provence. I'm planning to really use the farmers market, offer more seasonal dishes and really work on the execution."

Howard's return is big news for Marin foodies. Scott Howard was the chef who launched Fork with Charles Low in San Anselmo, where he built a huge following for his small plates."
