Buchon's Chocolate Cherry Bread
A limited Valentine's Day offering, I was told through Sunday only. Bought a loaf this morning only because they were offering samples and once I tasted it I had to have more. Its unbeleivable. Its also $13, which is fair given the heavy amount of high quality chocolate and cherries throughout the dense loaf. I'm going back tomorrow for another one.

I haven't had chocolate cherry bread in years, but I remember that Amy's Breads used to make it, as did one of the bread purveyors at the Union Square Greenmarket. I can't remember the vendor's name, but they're there on Saturday's, on the west side of the market.
Yum.

Almondine, choc cherry bread sounds great; i've never had it. Where is Buchon's? I tried searching the yellow pages but nothing came up. Thanks.

Very moist dried cherries and excellent chocolate chunks. This was truly the most delicious baked good I've had in ages. Devoured half the loaf myself (oink!).
