Marco Polo Take-Out...Delicious
Hi there,
If you live in Carroll Gardens and are tired of the usual take-out places definitely give Marco Polo take-out a try. I only order Pizza or from Chicory in this neighborhood because everything else seems to disappoint, so I really wanted to try something new. We ordered spaghetti with marinara sauce and chicken marsala ( trying to stick to basics ) and a caesars salad. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was delicious, the chicken marsala was also very, very tasty as was the caesar's salad. They are on Court next to Marco Polo and you can also pick-up after work on your way from home. If anyone has any other recommendations for take-out that is yummy please let me know.

I ate at Marco Polo once about a year or so ago. It is a very nice, very tasty, old school red sauce joint, with tuxedoed waiters, murals of Italy on the wall, Sinatra or Italian music playing over the speakers ... that sort of thing. All the food we had (which I don't remember) was delicious.
However, it is not exactly ground-breaking food. Like I said, traditional red-sauce Italian in a very "old school" setting, which I happen to love.

Marco Polo is next door to the take out MP- I have never tried either - but will try the take out if we can get out hands on the menu. Will have to do a walk by - but for the reasons you mentioned above I don't think I will ever go to the original -

as far as other delivery, I can't recommend Zaytoons enough.
I got takeout spinach + garlic from Marco Polo Takeout - quite respectable.

yes they have a wesbite for the restaurant but not for the take out that is what I was refering to....
