King Cake in Baltimore

Any good bakeries in the City (or points north and west) that make a decent King Cake? Mardi Gras just wouldn't be the same without it, and I'd rather get it local if I can, than pay to have it shipped from New Orleans. Thanks.

  1. The only place I've seen it advertised is Breaux Vineyard in Hillsboro, VA. Their website is www.breauxvineyards.com - and they are having a Samedi Gras celebration tomorrow where there will be King Cake (I don't know what it is, but it sounds good).

    1. Believe it or not.....last year I saw the King cake at the Giant ( even with the little baby! )

      1. Latte'Da Cafe on Aliceanna right next to Louisiana Restaurant had a king cake this morning
all of the baked goods are amazing so I would assume the King Cake to be well done

        1. Eddies in Roland Park

          1. I've seen them at Giant and Lauer's in Pasadena. The Giant version looked terrible, but the Lauer's versions actually looked really good. Lauer's also has the custard filled version, which is very hard to find around here. I'm not sure if they make them in-house (which I doubt) or get them from somewhere else.

And the Great Harvest Bread Co in Columbia is also making them, but you may have needed to order them before today.
