Where to find a haggis?
Okay guys, I know this is an odd one but this Friday is Robbie Burns Day. I live in the Beach and am looking for two items: Black pudding and haggis. I know some places in the NorthWest end (that would be Brampton) but really don't want to drive so far during the week. Does anyone know of a Scottish baker or butcher that makes both black pudding and haggis? Hell, either black pudding and haggis! Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks! MLG

A variety of suggestions were posted on this thread last August. I would guess most of them are still valid.

Alan's Butcher in Whitby (maybe closer than Brampton). My Scottish brother in law served us a lovely haggis from there a couple of years ago. If you don't find anything closer...

Oh, and I should add that when accompanied with a fine single malt served straight up...it is amazing how good oatmeal in sheep gut tastes. Seriously I was surprised by the whole taste event. I totatlly underestimated it. Ach aey :)

If you're willing to come out to Scarborough, But N' Ben (SW corner of Ellesmere and McCowan) should be able to hook you up with both.

Also at Ellesmere/McCowan, you can also check out St. Andrew's Fish & Chips for your search...it might even be in the same plaza! Known more for their fish and chips.

Yeah, they are in the same little strip mall, but the OP asked for a baker/butcher, which is why I didn't mention St. Andrew's. However, if takeout will do, they do, in fact, have both black pudding and haggis on the menu. I can only vouch for the fish & chips, though, which are artery-clogging goodness - haven't tried any of the puddings and such.

I think you may be able to get both at Meat on the Beach. I've bought haggis there before, and I think I've even seen black pudding there on one occasion.

My question is similar to this one - does anyone know of a restaurant/pub, preferably in downtown Toronto, that's serving haggis tonight?
Thanks!

Allen's on the Danforth does an awesome dinner for Robbie Burns complete with an ode and Irish dancing. not sure what day they put it on, but we went last year & it was very fun.

Irish dancing?
Maybe they do a sword dance on St. Pat's day!

When I was at the Abbot on The Hill (1276 Yonge, just north of Summerhill Station), they had signs up indicating they're doing a Robbie Burns dinner including haggis.
