New Years recs
Im going to be in LA over New Years (live in NYC)
Looking for a cool place to go on New Years Eve
Can be a club with great food or a restaurant or hotel with a cool, clublike atmosphere
Went to the Falcon on Sunset a few years ago (when it was new) and loved the food and vibe
Doesnt have to be new
Oh, also my GF and I are not twentysomethings (more like late thirtysomethings)
Suggestions appreciated

The Roosevelt is a very upscale hotel, and so the Dakota rec mentioned in the article would probably fit your bill. I'm considering that one myself, but part of me just wants to ring in the new year over at The Knitting Factory with a shot of Jaeger. --Oh, I'm sorry this is Chowhound-- ...with a shot of Pernod.
