Thanks for this info - as a long-time Chowhound, but a newcomer to Phoenix, glad to know about this (and of course appreciate all the other great information shared by the local CHs) Any thoughts on which day is less crowded? Thanks!

Does anyone know if there is a slow food farm tour this year?

Slow Food Farm Tour is Sunday, March 30, Queen Creek/Gilbert area followed by optional dinner at Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale:
Slow Food is Local: Eating from our Farmers’ Markets Farm Tour and Dinner
Tour six Southeast Valley farms and enjoy a harvest dinner under the stars at Agritopia prepared by Liberty Market chef David Traina. Advance tickets required.

This sounds completely amazing. Can somebody give me an idea about how crowded it is? (i.e. Is it a people-claustrophobic zoo where body armour is strongly recommended for elbowing your way to the best goodies, or do they manage to keep it civilized with room to breathe?)

I'll be there! Crossing my fingers for good weather. A little disappointed with the chef's list now that it's finally out, but I figure this will allow us to make many new discoveries.
emmaA, this is the first time at this particular venue, but the grounds of the Art Museum are pretty spacious, and I imagine the high ticket price means the crowds will be much lesser than at any of the other local culinary fests. And then you can always escape to the Monet-Matisse exhibit for some air.
