Depends what you're looking for. Shik Do Rak is famous for its dduk bo ssam, but I actually like the barbecue at Sagan in Buena Park better. And, of course, there's Kaju, which isn't barbecue but has the best soondubu in OC. :)

How about Tsuruhashi on Brookhurst in Fountain Valley? It's a small, grill in the table, bbq place. The tongue in lemon juice is particularly good.

2nd. Was there again last night. Don't miss the Kobe short rib as well. They unfortunately didn't have kimchi fried rice yesterday ;>( which is another item that you shouldn't miss.

This place is excellent but it is not Korean BBQ -- it's the Japanese take on it (yakiniku), which is not quite the same. If you like Manpuku in West LA, though, you will LOVE Tsuruhashi.

A friend of mine swears by Cham Soot Gol in Garden Grove. They also do dduk-bo-ssam style.

Not the all-you can eat type, but upscale and great pan chan.
Surah in Buena Park, in the shopping center with the Korean Market.

Thanks all. Your tips are much appreciated.
What are the prices like?
I don't necessarily want to go to the most expensive place as my wife doesn't appreciate Korean BBQ quite like I do.
Thanks again.

Surah also has a "Japanese" side menu. I went with a nervous friend, I ordered a Korean dish which came with all the pan chan (12-14 types) and he ordered a Broiled Salmon ($14.99 for dinner menu, which was two big filets). I had a fish stew which was $15.99. If you do BBQ its $18.99 for Bulgogi.
Lunch might be a better deal as you get to chose 3 at $13.99. I've only been for dinner so don't know if the lunch deal is where you BBQ at the table or if it's made in the kitchen.

Thanks. We hit up Light Town House Korean BBQ in Garden Grove. Ordered the ol' standbys, galbi and bulgogi. It was fantastic.
