West side Sunday brunch for book club (Toronto)
Looking for a great brunch with comfy chairs, because members of a book club would like to discuss over a leisurely noon-hour meal with table service. (Absolutely will not consider a restaurant with wooden chairs or no cushions!) West Queen West or Bloor West (Kingsway) would be ideal locations. Must be close to TTC. Thanks!

Upstairs at Czehoski they have cushioned benches (I'm pretty sure the chairs had cushions). I was there this past Sunday (not for brunch) and was pleasantly surprised by the food and service (I had heard not so great things on CH). I can picture a group hanging out up there. I'm not sure if they would be able to accomodate a large group at brunch though.

Dr. Generosity Bloor West has an upper room (dont know what the chairs are like) but close to subway and good food.

Yum! I love Dr. G's eggs benny - quite possibly the best in town.

Will second Dr. G's easy to get to on the subway and good quality food for a reasonable price. I'm pretty sure that i've posted the exact same with regards to dinner

Any opinions on the food and chairs at Mitzi's Sister in Parkdale/Roncy? What about other Roncesvalles/Parkdale brunch spots that don't hurry you along?

Chairs are hard and uncomfortable, service is sketchy, and lots of strollers and children...can be loud...not good for discussing books. Most of the hood out that way have hard non-cushioned chairs...but I will keep thinking of options in this area
