Marilyn's Cafe - Chester, NJ

I just wanted to do a little write-up on this place. We've always gone to Chester Diner for breakfast in the past. I've always found the service there terrible.

I've always passed it when getting bagels after going to the gym (counter-productive??), but never thought to give it a try.

This place is great! The food is most definitely the freshest breakfast food I have had in a long time. It's small, and gets crowded, but the service is wonderful. They really aim to please. I highly recommend it if someone is looking for a nice cafe/coffeehouse style breakfast without the terrible service of the diner! We're going to try lunch there next weekend!

It's on 513/Main St. in the shopping center right across from the Puddingstone Inn. They are open 6am-2pm (breakfast and lunch) daily.

  1. I completely agree. I too find this place to be a perfect alternative to the diner. And like you I've always passed by it on my way to the bagel store or bakery. I've only eaten there a couple times for breakfast, but my parents have been going for years.

My only problem is that they only accept cash.
