Ku...Toku Shin chef nowhere to be found

So I went to Ku in Greenwich tonight because i was recently told the former owner\chef of Toku Shin had taken over the sushi bar, however this does not seem to be the case. He was not working behind the bar tonight and when i asked our server if the rumors were true he had no idea what i was talking about, then again when I asked if they had kanpachi he did not know what that meant, so take that for what you will.

As for the food, the sushi was better than the last time I was there, more than a year or so ago, but it did not compare to the options and freshness of what toku shin had. The Toro was pretty weak...and did not have that nice pink color that toro usually has. Im surprised that they actually served it, but if people ordered it they might as well sell it. Other standouts were the fluke and red snapper, both were very fresh and were probably the best pieces of the night. The place is still a bit pricey about $130 per person(two of us) of which 20 per person was the sake, so about 110 for an appetizer 10 pieces and half of a dragon roll(eel, cucumber. avocado)

I would probably go back again because the sushi in Greenwich is lacking now that Shin is gone but it would not be my regular place.
