Looking for Restaurants in Ocean City, MD.

I'm interesting in kid friendly restaurants, moderately priced. I'll be staying on the boardwalk but am willing to drive. Any good rib places? Anything good on the bayside with views of the water?

Thanks,
Tess

  1. For ribs when I was younger my parents always took us to J.R.'s. My favorite restaurant for breakfast (also serve lunch and dinner) in Ocean City is the Bayside Skillet because of their selection of crepes and omelettes. They are located on the bayside and have outdoor seating. Their servings are huge and perfect for sharing. The wait is long, but if your family likes Mexican there is always Tequila Mockingbird.

enjoy your stay in Ocean City

    1. be sure to hit Dumsers Dairyland for soft serve ice cream- yummy!
If you feel like driving into Rehobeth, hit Nicola's for a great Nicoboli!

      1. And don't forget to hit up Thrashers for french fries when you are on the boardwalk. A must for any trip to Ocean City

        1. There is a GREAT barbecue place in West Ocean City - good food, rustic, country, real, inexpensive and serving nothing stronger than sweet tea - everything a barbecue place should be. It's also full of kids. Great pork sandwiches, barbecued chicken, fried chicken and ribs too + tasty sides. It's called Smoker's BBQ Pit and it's just across the bridge in West Ocean City on Stephen Decatur Highway about 2 blks south of Rt 50. Highly recommended. Go now they close in October for the winter.

we stopped at smokers for lunch on our way out of town last thursday and had some fine bbq. pulled pork sandwiches were good - i preferred the carolina vinegar-based pork over the maryland tomato-based pork. also had a sample of the ribs which were smokey and tender but with the right amount of chew. the only disappointment was the slaw which was a little dry for my taste.

          2. Take this news from a shore local...Send someone early to wait in line for donuts one moring to the Fractured Prune in Ocean City, follow later with the kids. Check in by cell phone as sometimes the wait can be over an hour or call ahead. Yummy, hot fresh donuts they can choose their own icings and toppings! Its alot of fun, bring some fresh fruit to add a healthy twist. I think there is one in Rehoboth Beach now too!
