1. This is the Soup Nazi right? i work a block away - it's definitely not open yet, but would love to know when he opens. I remember last year it was well into the "winter" months, and he still wasn't open...

      He's gotten later and later with the opening. I think last year he waited until early December.
      
      I wouldn't expect to see him re-open until at least the middle of November.
      
      It's worth taking a look if you walk in that direction at all. Sometimes there will be a hand-lettered sign in the window announcing when he'll be back.

         I wouldn't put too much faith in the note on the window, or the message on the voice mail. Every year one of those two mentions a late Sept. or early Oct. opening, yet it never seems to happen.
         I would guess he'd open some time around Thanksgiving.
