White Truffle
Anyone know of a place in the Baltimore area where I can obtain a modest amount of fresh White Truffle?

For fresh white Alba truffles you are probably going to have to order them from the importer, Urbani. The link is below. You may want to call your banker before clicking on this link! Arguably white truffles are at the highest price in history right now.

I just want to let you know that white trufflr are not possible to find right now.
The season is from the end of septembet to the end of December or as soon the freze start.
So you will have to wait until next season, and please do not buy any white truffle in jars, save your money, or even worst any white truffle oil.

Shopper's Food Warehouse on Rockville Pike has them.
Next to the button mushrooms.

The 7-11 near my house also has them. They keep them on and old TastyCake rack next to the hotdog roller, individually wrapped in shrink wrap for your convenience.

Thank you all. Guess I'll check out the Store in Rockville, but it sounds like I may need to put off this little exercise in Investment Dining for a while.

What? A white truffle question and we get responses *only* from Thomas Keller and Roberto Donna (and Joe H., of course)? I fully expected that we'd hear -- at the very least -- from David Bouley, Alain Ducasse, Alice Waters, Michel Richard, Charlie Trotter, Mario Batali, Dominick DiFara, the arepa lady . . .
