Franklin NH Thai Restaurant
We had a wonderful dinner last night in this tiny downtown place yet it was less than half full on a Saturday night. Usually we go to Siam Orchid in Concord but since we live north of Concord, Franklin is an easy trip as well. Of course, now I can't remember the name, I think it was Asian Restaurant. They have a few Japanese and Korean dishes on the menu. We had deep fried triangle pillows with curried potato and vegetables for an appetizer. Mango fried rice. Choo Chee with Pork (great curry and coconut milk sauce) and a beef dish with string beans and a spicy chili sauce. We have been before but this time the dishes were also adorned with beautiful vegetables carved into flowers. At first I mistook a carrot flower for a really lily flower. Roses were carved from beets. This is a very casual restaurant with a store front type of decor. Nothing fancy. Downtown Franklin NH is right on Rt 3. If you were up north skiing, you could take the Tilton exit off Rt 93 (same as for the outlet mall) and head south. The restaurant will be on your right just before the opera house and before you go over the bridge. After dinner you can continue south on Rt 3 and get back on Rt 93 at exit 17.
I'd really like to see this place get some business so it won't close. Great food, decent menu.

Donna I want to second your recommendation. The name of the restaurant is Asian Delight.
We live in Tilton and go there about once a week usually for takeout. This is the second Thai style restaurant to inhabit that location and this one has much better Thai food food was well as the Korean barbecue and Japanese dishes. I go for the green curry, homestyle crispy duck and spicy pad thai. My wife likes the Korean Kalbi and Bulgogi.
I don't know if they have their liquor license yet but the last time we ate in they were waiting for it but in the mean time they had the license where you could bring your own wine or beer. Since we had a group I ran up to the Hannaford store nearby and got some beer and wine. It was a great deal.
The owners are great and I agree with you that I'd like to see this place get some more business. It's much better than the Thai place at Exit 20 in Tilton and easily worth the trip.
