Chinese Restaurant
Having a difficult time finding a good Chinese restaurant in the Fairfield, CT. Would perfer the Trumbull, Bridgeport, Stratford, Shelton, or, Monroe area. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Eat in, or, take out. Tried a number of places in the area with bad results.
Thanks,
Tom

If you don't mind driving to New Haven, 20 minutes or so, the Royal Palace on Orange Street could be one the best chinese restaurants in the state. They run 3 menu's. Standard American chinese, a translated Chinese menu for their Chinese clients and a Specials menu.
On any given night most of their customers are Oriental. The food from the Chinese and Special menus is as good as anything I've had anywhere, including N.Y. and S.F. Very Authentic.

Not sure if you have tried Hong Kong Cafe in the Paradise Green in Stratford. I have to say, it is the best Chinese food I have had. That is the only Chinese restaurant I will eat at or take out from, period!! I can go on and on... their wonton soup is great. The wontons are light and the dough isn't thick and gross. Their egg rolls aren't too greasy. My favorite meal is chicken and brocolli with brown rice. I can eat it everyday! I am getting hungry just thinking about it and I might have to go their for lunch tomorrow!! My parents get take out from there at least once per week. I used to until I moved further away.

If you don't mind driving a little further, try New Wok in Newtown. It is in the same plaza as Stop and Shop, on Route 25 (south main st), down near the Monroe border. I've tried many restaurants in the area, and I feel, by far, this is the best.
