Looking for something different in New Haven or Fairfield County
Hello all,
My husband and I live in Fairfield County and we tend to eat at the same restaurants all the time (we eat alot in SoNo, Quattro Pazzi in Fairfield, Inn at Newtown, etc). My husband told me this morning that he would like to go somewhere different tommorow night for dinner-maybe in New Haven (though he was open to restaurant in Fairfield county as well). I've called and left a msg at Roomba to see if we could get (don't have much hope though) and was hoping for any other suggestions anyone might have. I know this is pretty broad the only request is no pizza places and I don't like Indian cuisine. Thanks for your help!

Sorry, but have to disagree, unless things have changed a lot in the last couple of years. In our experience, Joseph's was overpriced, food was mediocre--a New York steakhouse wannabe that didn't succeed at all. THere are many better steak places in Fairfield County.

If you do make it to New Haven, try Ibiza, 30 High St. Inventive Spanish, luscious desserts. You will find it mentioned favorably many times on this forum.

Have you tried Bondi in Westport, near the Westport train station? It's the off-shoot of the take out store, Abbondanza, and the food is terrific, the chef lovely and we've never been disappointed.

Thank you to all that replied. It turned out that I was a bit under the weather on Saturday and we stayed home, but we're looking foward to trying these restaurant suggestions in the future. Thanks again!

There is a new place on Rt 7 in Wilton, CT called SKY - we were very suprised how good it is. The location is strange , its behind a strip center. But its worth a visit.
