Italian Resturant - AVON, CT
Hi! I'm looking for an Italian resturant in Avon, CT.. I hear great things about it, I don't know the name of it except the owners name is Francesco..

there is a new italian restaurant on rte 44 in avon called amici's. creative dishes and reasonable prices. it's just east of canton on the south side of rte 44. don't know the owner's name, but this could be the place.
the max group - a hartford string of fine dining places - also has an avon location, max a mia, but i know the owner's name isn't francesco

i wouldn't make a special trip to go to la trattoria, but the food is pretty good - all the traditional italian things - and some specials. we've had a couple of family dinners there and haven't been disappointed. i would guess that their entrees are now in the $18-25 range, but i haven't been there in 2-3 years. good ambience and a good bar too

I have been there more recently. It is okay, but Max a Mia, Ristaurante Italia (I think it is still in Riverdale Farms) or Amici are all better food and value in the same area.

Maybe your thinking of Cugino's of Avon? It's located in the Riverdale Farms shopping center on Rt10. I've not been to that Cugino's but have been to the one in Farmington, and it was very good.
