Lowell - Cavaleiro's

Finally got to Cavaleiro's last night, held back going there thinking it would pale in comparison to the my old favorite O'Fado's in Peabody for Portugeese food.
I was mistaken, The Carne de Porco Alentejana(pork w/clam's, diced potatoes) was, I can't beleive I'm saying this, but as good as O'Fado's. The vinho verde was ice cold spot on, seafood soup, just ok, should have went for the kale soup. Dining companions had the house Bacalhau(cod) which was a large portion and kind of tempura fried, smothered in onion's and the most delicious Hot thick potatoe chips, other dish was the steak w/ garlic sauce(kind of boring).
Like O'Fado nice dining room then a large bar in the back, The Mom of the place was on sight asking us if we were first timers there and how we liked it.

  1. Thanks for the review - it's now on my list of places to try.

    1. O Fado in Peabody is closed. It's now Greek place with a divey bar attached.
