Dinner Thursday night in Portsmouth, NH
I live in Portland and my bf lives in Boston. We will be meeting in Portsmouth for dinner tomorrow night. He does not eat seafood. Looking for something not too expensive. Any thoughts? Thanks as always.

Lindbergh's Crossing. One of the best spots in town although it might be a bit pricey for you. Better call for reservations if you choose it. Share a couple of things.
How's Currents Bistro on Market (mediterranean)? Anyone been recently?

Thanks. This is alittle more expensive than what we are looking for. One of us (me) is a poor graduate student and we are saving up for a wedding. Thanks. Any other thoughts?

Portsmouth Brewery is a good option, if that's the kind of atmosphere you are looking for.
Check out this link and surf around.

There is a very good barbeque place in Portsmouth- I think it is called Muddy River- haven't been there in awhile but lst time it was excellent. I'm sure someone will read this and tell you where it is exactly.

How about Portmouth Brewery? A brewpub with wide selection including both mainstream and more adventurous fare.

I second the brewery. I had a very good meal there and the beers were yummy. It can be a bit boisterous at times so if you are looking for quiet and romantic, this may not be the place for you.
Here is a link to their menu:
