Lunch (To Go or Not To Go) in Downtown Vancouver
I started a new job at the corner of Georgia and Thurlow recently and was wondering if anyone who also works downtown has some tips for tasty, quality sub-$7 lunch spots in the area.
I have happened across the Asian Food Court on Alberni and Thurlow (called the Carlyle Food Court, I think) and found Niko Niko to be great and the Onigri Rice Balls place to offer some good food. Also the Green Lunch Box/Sixth Sense Cafe seems to have some good wraps/sandwiches (as does Caffe Artiggiano).
Any other places I should be checking out down there?
Cheers!
Jack

there's Chichetti, pretty cheap for what you get PLUS they have wine BTG for 5 bucks!

Burrard & Georgia, on Georgia, south side. It's Mike & Matt's place (Allegro, Lucy Mae, Crime Lab, etc...)
I also like the Sushi bar at Robson & Thurlow, Ichiban Kan (-sp?) underneath the NE corner Starbucks. You also can't go wrong with Cafe Artigiano by the Art Gallery for the best Lattes & paninis around...

Guu - A must in the area is Guu (thurlow @ robson) In the building behind Banana Republic. A great selection of bento style lunches all around $6-$8. A few to mention: Katsu Curry, Yakitori Chicken, and Grilled Saba. All dishes are served with rice & miso soup. Very fast, cheap and very very good!!!
