Ingredients (11)

  • 1 cup real pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 (12-ounce) can frozen concentrated limeade, thawed in refrigerator
  • 1 (12-ounce) can frozen concentrated lemonade, thawed in refrigerator
  • 3 (12-ounce) bottles Belgian White Blue Moon Beer
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1 tablespoon triple sec
  • ice cubes
  • garnish (optional) fresh strawberries or orange slices

Summary

Backyard patio parties have become a tradition in our neighborhood this summer. I have a good friend that first served “Beer Margaritas” at her patio party. The margaritas are so refreshing on a hot summer evening. I decided to try making my own recipe and incorporating Blue Moon Beer, pomegranate and strawberries. Blue Moon Belgian White is brewed with white wheat and oats, has coriander and orange peel added for flavor. It’s the perfect beer to use in the pomegranate and strawberry margaritas. Now we serve the plain beer margaritas in addition to the new “Pomegranate Strawberry Blush Beer Margaritas”, made with Blue Moon Belgian White ale.

Instructions

  1. 1In a blender, combine; pomegranate juice, strawberries and sugar. Pulse until mixture is smooth, about 20 seconds.
  2. 2In a large 1 gallon pitcher, combine; pomegranate/strawberry mixture, limeade, lemonade, Blue Moon beer, water, tequila and triple sec. Stir until blended.
  3. 3Serve over ice cubes and garnish (optional) with fresh strawberries or orange slices on side of glass.
