Halloween Cupcakes
Those of you who don’t know me, don’t know that I am very much into cooking, baking and dinning out. With the Halloween season just around the corner, here is a great idea for you. And I will be offering many more in the weeks to come.
Today’s project is for the kids. A good and very easy project for the holiday is Halloween Spider Cupcakes with orange icing.
These are really very cute and very easy to make, and the kids love them.

Instructions

  1. 1Take 8 small sections of black shoestring licorice about 1" long and arranged them radiating from the center of the cupcake (on top of the frosting) coat each cupcake with chocolate frosting then put a black gumdrop (actually one of the ones with the sugar dragged on the sides to look like black raspberries) into the middle of the spider’s legs. Making the legs from spun sugar can be a very difficult to do, so if you are used to doing it that way, fine, but I think my way is much easier.

  2. 2Place a sheet of parchment paper on the bottom of your sheet to keep them from sticking to the sheet. Make sure that you give them some time to set before decorating them.
  3. 3And by the way, keep in mind that there has been shortage of canned pumpkin mix for the past year. Keep that in mind so you might want to buy some now and stock up on them if you see any around in the stores.
