Went on Friday night to the new resto. It was their first night in the new place. It is gorgeous and sits in the Caneel Bay resort. The circular bar is stunning and there is a well made wine cellar off to the side.
There is not a bad seat in the house. Service was great, albeit there were lots of new staff. John, the owner, was gracious and in his glory.
The wine list is well put together and the pricing, very fair. Some of the wines were cheaper than what you would pay in a store in St. Thomas, which is rarity.
The two pasta appetizers were shared we're the boar bolegnese and the squid ink. If I could get those as a main next time, that's where I would head. They were outstanding. I had the veal, which they always nail and ohrers had the pork, three ways, which was also a hit.
Granted, getting there is a bit of a chore, compared to the old resto, in that you need to take a can up to the resort, but well worth the trip. This place will be the best dining choice on the island and a must go to spot!
