zaitzeff - tasty organic hamburgers

Zaitzeff is a California-style organic burger joint with comunal tables. I just went today for the first time and tried a Kobe beef burger for around 9 bucks. It was a really tasty hamburger, highlighted by excellent meat, grilled onions, horseradish cream, and a lightly toasted Portugese muffin.

Besides offering lunch fare such as sandwiches and salds, Zaitzeff has a limited breakfast menu that includes some warm offerings. Breakfast is probably good, judging by the silent enjoyment my eating companion seemed derive from his morning glory muffin.

I would definitely go back. I'm always a sucker for yam fries (which I didn't try this time), and the veggie sandwich with sweet potato, cheese, avocado, and lettuce and tomato seems especially promising.
