I just made this recipe from Donna Hay's book, Off The Shelf, and it was so good and easy I wanted to share it. It's perfect for breakfast or for a snack. In her book she also says it's good for a "sweet supper" but I don't know about that.
Just mix 1/2 cup short grain white rice; 1 1/2 cups water; 1 cup milk; and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a saucepan and simmer until it has a thick, porride-like consistency, stirring every so often. Serve with a little milk and brown sugar.
