In the present issue of "The New Yorker," there is an article by Calvin Trillin (who he?) about that (evil) axis of gastronomy...SF-NYC.
I sort of perused it last night. The only things that I remember are NYC is a great "Carryout" (as opposed to "Take-out" here in the Bay Area) town, and the wonders of the San Francisco Burrito.
However, I think the experiences Mr. T writes about are several years old. (Why they just published the article, I dunno.) As I said, I was both trying to fall asleep and stay awake; so it was in that netherworld.
