Two of us are coming from out of town for Labor Day weekend (SF and Boston), and looking forward to a dinner with great friends we rarely get to see. Through a bit of research on this board, I have made reservations for a party of 10 at both Yerba Buena Perry and Novita this Saturday night. As much as I wish I could go to both, we have to pick one.
Yerba Buena has an interesting menu, and it seems like it would be a fun place to have dinner, but we're a bit worried it would be too loud for conversation. I've heard good things about Novita, but I'm a little worried it will be a bit of an older crowd. We're in our late-20's/early 30's, and by no means are looking to eat in a hopping club, but we also don't want to feel like we need to speak in hushed voices. Food is key, but so is atmosphere.
If you had to go to one of these, which would you choose?
