I've wanted to try it for years, but always have wound up elsewhere when the need for Italian called. Just so many good places in LA. Finally made a reservation for 7 pm last Saturday on OpenTable. Easy operation. I had requested a booth and after being cordially greeted, we were immediately escorted to a great corner booth. The evening just got better as time went on. Our waiter, Jean-Marc was efficent, friendly and knowledgable on the wine list. He helped me select between two of my choices and boy was it excellent. An '01 Barbera d' Alba. Heaven in a glass. We sipped that with some warm bread served with a pesto dip.
Hubby and I shared the luscious and generous pumpkin raviolis as a starter. He had the Veal Pizziola and I had the Halibut served on couscous. They only disappointment were the string beans that came with the veal. They were sadly overcooked. The restaurant is small and intimate with a very warm feel. We felt like we were dining in Paris or Rome. Can't wait to go back and try the Lasagne. This is the perfect fall/winter dining experience.
