No more www address for links to posts

Until recently, you always had the option on links to topics and posts, to replace the "chowhound" part of the website address (URL) with www. For example, either of these website addresses can be used to point to the same topic:

http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/863280
www.chow.com/topics/863280

I've generally used the www version because it's shorter.

The same thing formerly worked for links to specific posts, but no longer does so; it only resolves to the topic, not the post. For example, to point to a specific post,

http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/8632...

will still work. However, if you use this version:

www.chow.com/topics/863280#7553888

it now only points to the entire topic, not the specific post.
