Wuling in El Cerrito Review

I finally made it back to Wuling this past weekend for lunch. They actually did a great job remodeling! The place is still really “interesting”, but I found it clean and welcoming (no secret knock needed). The food, luckily, is as good as I remembered. The two of us ordered beef noodle soup, prawns with lobster sauce, and sesame cold noodles. The waitress brought out a few complimentary side dishes too that were excellent – sautéed eggplant, marinated sweet and spicy cucumbers, and some bean sprouts. All were very good. The noodles were not homemade but had great texture, and the beef stew was very flavorful. The prawns were nice and fresh and the sesame noodles were so good we ordered another one to bring home for later.

Like I’ve said before, this place is different and interesting. It’s not your typical restaurant, but it’s a fun experience. The owners said they’re trying out lunch and dinner, with karaoke only after 8 or something. So if you’re like me and don’t like to sing, or hear other people try to sing, you can now enjoy the food in peace.
