I cannot tell you how excited I am to find this website! Though I live in Toronto I am by no means in the dining "loop" and have been looking for some informed reccommendations. (I'm already developing a bit of a crush on Alan Gardner.) I shall be trying Peter's Chung King ASAP, ditto Chiado - Susur when I come into my inheritance!
Question: any ideas for where to find the best soft shelled crabs? (I developed a taste for them in Texas and simply haven't been able to find anything comparable in Toronto.) I know they're out of season - but I'm prepared to eat frozen (I guess) and want to be ready when the big day comes!! (I have tried them at House of Chan and a Japanese restaurant - tempura style - but neither impressed me much.) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Please help me feed my crab-Jones!
