Wonderful Lunch at Fleur de Sel

Finding ourselves w/a rare weekday off, my boyfriend and I decided to take advantage of the wonderful $25 lunch deal at Fleur de Sel. It was our first time at the restaurant, and it definitely lived up to the praise it receives on the board.
The $25 prix fixe lunch is 3 courses, 2 options for each course. I opted to add the $17 wine pairings, which were wonderful.
The food was great, beginning w/the warm, crusty bread served w/the meal. First course for him was white asparagus soup, which was very good. I preferred my goat cheese and artichoke ravioli. These were served over a beet sauce and topped w/a bit of caviar (a picture of the dish can be found on the Fleur de Sel website, although I only received 3 ravioli on my plate). This dish was perfect--the goat cheese in the ravioli was a revelation for me. The ravioli was served w/a sauvignon blanc.
Second course for him was duck. I'm not the biggest duck fan (it's usually too rich for my taste), but the taste of this dish was more subtle, yet still full of flavor. My second course was the sea bass, which came w/a tomato confit--a perfect pairing. The sea bass was tender but had some texture to the outside. Just wonderful. This dish came w/a pinot gris.
For dessert, we both had the chocolate gaufrette, which tasted faintly like samoa girl scout cookies. I don't remember the dessert wine that came w/the dish, but it was a bit sweet for my taste.
The $25 lunch at Fleur de Sel is a bargain--I can't wait for my next day off!
