We're looking to replace our 20 year old gas Jennair gas cooktop (which we have always hated - not enough BTUs and the grill never worked due to lack of power and the downdraft....but I digress)
We're looking at Wolf, Viking, Capital and DCS cook tops - we are really interested in a 36" with a grill - we live in Toronto so the ability to cook inside all year is interesting, plus we think it will change the way we cook overall (we love to cook, and cook alot).
But - the grill option is very expensive especially considering the extraction cost (probably $3,000)......I'd love to hear from people who have a similar set up to learn if they really do use the grill - especially in the winter when extraction is important.
I think we would use the grill almost everyday - but if extraction is a problem then we won't pay the premium (plus the hood)
