Had never been by Emmet's or 6B on the Hill, but it was a convenient place to meet a friend for a post-work pop. Emmet's is the generic Irish pub side, 6B the "fancy" cocktails and wine bar half. Cocktails were actually okay, though they got much better after the early evening shift change.
Small plates were generic bar food stuff (e.g., Costco-quality Peking ravioli), but I have to say the chicken wings were way above average: expertly fried, with a lovely chili/honey glaze (real slow-building kick), served with a decently chunky blue cheese dressing and crudite. Not cheap ($7/lb, $12/2 lbs), but a pleasant surprise.
Pretty bad music on the stereo (I can see mid-70s top 40 being played with irony in a hipster bar, but not here), but the game was on. Friendly, attentive service.
