I've eaten at Wilson two times for dinner in the last month. By and large, the food has been good. The one miss was the skirt steak which was so loaded in spice/rub that it was totally overpowering. Also, both times I ate there they were out of stuff by the time we ordered.
Anyways, my real issue is with the wine and the bartender at the bar. Both times we went we had reservations, but they were a little behind, so we went to the bar to order a bottle of wine. First time, someone in our group wanted a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Asked the bartender if it was good, he said something to the effect of yeah, it's fine, Pinot Grigio, you know. Okay . . . fine. Next time, we're with friends who are fairly knowledgeable about wine. They only recognize a couple names on the wine list, so ask the bartender what is good on the list (and describe in general what they like). Bartender responded that he didn't know the wine list very well and couldn't really make a recommendation. He was zero help. When the wine arrived, a Cabernet, it was incredibly warm, to the point that we had to ask for an ice bucket. We then realized that they are storing all the wine above the area where the food comes out, close to the stove. Probably not the best place for it.
Anyways, I really want to like this place because it is in my neighborhood, but I found both experiences a little lacking.
