Wild Boar

Last week I was on a trip to Savannah, Georgia for a few days. On the way back I stopped for dinner at a place in Valdosta, Georgia. Close to the Florida state line. At any rate, the feature of the memue was roasted wild boar. When I inquired about it, I was told that it is simply a wild pig much like we have running around in the swamps. I have tasted home cooked wild pig from some hunter friends so I ordered it. It was delicious. Served with sweet potatoes and apple sauce along with cornbread. I know of no place locally that has wild pig on the menue, but I would like to suggest it to any resturant that wants to listen. I think it could become a big favorite. Does anyone know of other resturants nearby that has it.
