Hello fellow Chowhounders. My husband planned a trip to NOLA this upcoming weekend as part of my 40th birthday present. Part of the present includes tickets to the Saints game on Sunday, because even though I am from Central New York, I am a HUGE Saints fan (crappy season this year, sigh). We are staying close to the French Quarter at the Hilton on St. Charleston.
I've made a preliminary lunch and dinner itinerary and I'd love to hear your comments on it. I mostly chose pricier places for lunch and slightly less expensive for dinner. Part of that reason is that I am concerned about dinner dress code at places like Galatoire's. We're only in town for a three day weekend and I don't want my poor hubby to have to pack dress pants and a jacket. If you could let me know if any of these dinner places require a dress code I would be most grateful.
Also, could you please let me know if any of these places require reservations? If so, I'll get right on it! Thanks in advance.
Friday dinner – Green Goddess.
Saturday lunch – Commander’s Palace, tour the garden district/graveyards.
Saturday happy hour - Domenica
Saturday dinner – stick around at Domenica or head to Boucherie?
Sunday pre-game food – Champion Square? Anyone have any reviews?
Sunday dinner – Café Adelaide or SoBou?
Monday - we leave on Monday afternoon so I figured I'd leave Monday lunch open to whatever suits our fancy.
