I am looking for an elegant, classy non-Italian wedding venue for 130 person party in the winter months in the evening. I come from a Russian family, and we are not into the hot buffets, pasta and carving stations.
I really liked the the interior style of the Grand Prospect Hall, but I would like to hear opinions on the food for a banquet. Their quote fits into our total food budget (~18,000 including service and tax) My fiance and I are not looking for 'innovative fusion' quisine, just great tasting one that won't leave you hungry. Has anyone attended a wedding reception there, opinion, pluses and negatives? How does it look in the evening when you can't really see the outside vs in the daytime?
I also liked the ball rooms in the Terrace on the Park (NOT the gaudy downstairs), but I see from previous posts that the food is terrible. I am also looking into The Manor in West Orange, NJ (if anyone familiar with that venue) Any comments or venue suggestions would be appreciated.
