I'm looking at a recipe for cornmeal scallion cheddar waffles with chipotle from today's Washington Post. It looks good and I can picture it going with some things that come to our book club potlucks.

Think these would travel ok? Maybe kept warm in an oven until ready to eat? Or really good only right off the waffle iron.
I make and freeze some small yeasted waffles for me for breakfast and those always seem fine to me. But I'd want to be more sure that made-ahead ones would be ok for a group.
