I'm a Boston native returning for a visit, and want to check out the Clam Box. I spent my childhood eating a whole bunch of clam STRIPS but only once (a few years ago on Martha's Vineyard,) did I try "real" clams.
Anyhow, I have checked out the Clam Box menu online and would like some local advice on what to get. My goal is to have a good amount of both whole clams and strips. I don't need fries or onion rings, though will eat them of course. I see combos, mini-meals, and boxes. What would you suggest?
And yes, I have heard there is a red tide issue, but I trust they will get safe clams from waters further north or south.
