It won't surprise any of you who love this place that the meal we had last night was very good. It may surprise you to learn that we also had courteous, cordial service! We went early and there were only about five tables occupied, although the place was beginning to fill by the time we left around 7:15.
The much-heralded chicken with cashews and red chili paste was delicious, as was the hot and spicy shrimp soup--lots of big shrimp in it. DH had green curried chicken, also well-prepared. I can't say I was excited over the veggie eggrolls, though.
The owner was very patient with us, answered questions about the food, and didn't walk off even when we were fumbling with our menus (uhh...what soup was that...). So I guess we haven't had the full Kanomwan experience!
Next time we'll know not to sit at the table for 10 minutes like a couple of mopes, waiting for them to bring us the check....
